Zhou Zhenjia, one of the silver medalists of 2023 Chambroad Outstanding Doctoral Award

Release time:2024-06-14 Hit:

Zhou Zhenjia, Ph.D. from Nanjing University, supervised by Professor Gao Libo.

Research Interests: Growth and characterization of 2D materials and their heterostructures and investigation of physical properties.

Achievements: Through independently designed and constructed multiple vertical chemical vapor deposition systems, Zhou Zhenjia successfully prepared a series of wafer-level, high-quality, and environmentally stable 2D transition metal dichalcogenides. Based on the constructed 2D material library, she further proposed a novel layer-by-layer growth strategy "from high temperature to low temperature". Through this strategy, 27 two-component, 15 three-component, 5 four-component, and 3 five-component van der Waals heterojunctions of 2D materials, each with stable, controllable layer structures and clean, flat interfaces, were successfully prepared. These heterojunctions exhibit superconducting proximity effects, PN junction rectification, and superconducting Josephson junction functionalities, providing a comprehensive library and effective methods for future physical studies and device fabrication.
