Zhu Litao, Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiaotong University, supervised by Professor Luo Zhenghong.
Research Interests: Theoretical and applied research on multiphase reactor engineering, multiphase flow transfer and reaction, fluidization, multiscale simulation and optimization, computational fluid dynamics, mesoscale science, and AI/data science.
Achievements: Zhu Litao advanced the frontiers of key reactor technologies based on chemical engineering's "three transfers and one reaction" theory. He concentrated on microscale/mesoscale interphase interactions and flow field structure control mechanisms in multiphase transfer and reaction process, using the scientific principles of gas-solid fluidized bed reactor systems and model quantification as the main focus. Besides, he independently developed several reactor models for microscale/mesoscale interphase interactions, introduced data-driven modeling for reactors, and built a multi-scale simulation and scaling platform, guiding the design and scaling of large reactors.
