On October 31, 2021, No. 1 and No. 2 units of Shandong Yimeng Pumped Storage Power Station were officially connected to the grid, adding 600,000 kilowatts of high-quality peak shifting capacity to Shandong Power Grid, which was reported by CCTV News 30'. After all four units put into use, Shandong power grid will increase 1.2 million kilowatts of high-quality peak shifting capacity, to enhance the regulation of the Shandong power grid, help energy transition and achieve the carbon peak and carbon neutral goal.
