Research Interests: Synthesizing peptide polymers that simulate natural peptides, aiming at solving the crisis of drug-resistant bacterial infections in biomaterials.
Achievements:
1)Wu Yueming made significant advances in the synthesis and preparation of peptide polymers, establishing a water-tolerant rapid NCA ring-opening polymerization method, allowing efficient preparation of structurally diverse peptide polymers in open containers.
2)She discovered highly effective peptide polymers against drug-resistant bacteria by simulating host defense peptides.
3) She proposed a new design strategy inspired by cell-penetrating peptide, leading to the discovery of low-toxicity, highly effective antifungal peptide polymers without observed resistance.
