Wang Bing

Navigating challenges as resiliently as bamboo rising after being weighed down by the sea or like a mountain corner that remains illuminated despite the howling winds, these individuals march in sync with the times and nature. Embracing their unique paths and fueled by a steadfast and bold resolve, they craft a diverse and vibrant "Chambroad Spectrum". With a steadfast "original intention" and "unwavering heart", they harness their drive to overcome challenges, living by the principle of "relentlessly seeking" to pioneer innovative paths of development. Behind Chambroad's continuous advancement is a cadre of exceptional individuals dedicated to high-quality progress and innovation. Among them, Wang Bing, honored with the Chambroad Chairman Special Award in 2022, exemplifies this remarkable spirit of perseverance and excellence.

Joining Chambroad in 2004 as an eager intern, Wang Bing has matured over nearly two decades into a figure of stability and depth. Reflecting on his journey, Wang Bing notes, "When I joined, the company operated only two refining units. Since then, Chambroad has sped down the path of diversified development. Witnessing the Group's rapid, multifaceted, and robust growth by launching new petrochemical projects and building the industrial park, I've seen my own transformation from green youth to seasoned professional."

In 2004, as a member of the order class, Wang Bing joined Chambroad's "reserve forces" for the coking and hydrogen production unit. As a new recruit, he felt fortunate and challenged to construct and start new projects. He could expand his knowledge and improve his professional skills, but the exhausting work and the tight schedule were a great test. With the spirit of "perseverance, devotion, thrift, and boldness", Wang Bing began a long front-line career.

In 2008, the construction of Chambroad's second delayed coking unit started, and Wang Bing was again selected for the mission. With former work experience, he put forward some optimization and transformation suggestions, which laid a solid foundation for the successful one-time commissioning of the new unit. In 2011, the construction of a semi-regenerative reforming unit, atmospheric decompression unit, and public system in East Area 1 was completed, and the construction of an alkane dehydrogenation unit was completed in 2014. Wang Bing, as an equipment technician, was constantly involved in the commissioning of the new projects. He explored innovation and improvement for new equipment and processes, contributing to the commissioning of the units.

For the equipment, it is important to ensure "safe, stable, long-term, full-load, and high-quality" production. Under safe and smooth operation, how to optimize the operation of the device has become a top priority, Wang Bing said, "Every penny saved through optimization is a real benefit for the enterprise."

A semi-regenerative reforming unit has seven reciprocating compressors, which are the most power-consuming equipment. The unit often has a margin, resulting in high energy consumption during the operation, and how to reduce the power consumption of these units has always been the concern of Wang Bing. At that time, the energy-saving technology of reciprocating compressors was still immature. After thorough inspections, he learned about the "compressor gap automatic adjustment technology", but this technology was still new, and no one dared to try it. Wang Bing, after elaborate testing and preparation, decisively put it into use, with a 30% operating current drop and an annual power savings of more than 1.6 million kWh.

It is this successful experience that reinforced Wang Bing's confidence and faith in innovation and breakthroughs. By promoting the implementation of new technologies and facilities for technological transformation, he contributed to the optimization and upgrading of production equipment.

2014 marked a significant milestone for Chambroad with the establishment of China's first mixed alkane dehydrogenation unit. Yet, the challenge of achieving full-load, long-cycle operation emerged. Undaunted, Wang Bing states, "For any unit, maintenance means a loss in efficiency. Extending the operational cycle was a pressing issue we needed to address."

He led the team to optimize the unit continuously. It took him more than three months to map out over 10 standard operating parameters. For cold box adjustment, he was often 24-hour on duty. Through concerted work, the team significantly extended the operation cycle of the alkane dehydrogenation unit, which was in the leading position in the industry.

Through persistent breakthroughs, Wang Bing exemplifies the spirit of immediate action and long-term perseverance. His journey at Chambroad is a testament to determination and enduring effort.

Corporate Culture and Concerted Work

In the bustling environment of the Chemical D Workshop at Chambroad Petrochemicals, a steadfast commitment to excellence in every endeavor is the norm. Wang Bing, with a decisive tone, emphasizes, "Our focus is squarely on results. We continuously strive to maximize value, raise our work standards, and heighten our quality awareness. Our goal is to reduce and eliminate the need for rework and waste that result from substandard practices." In his role as a Chambroad N1N Training Coach, Wang Bing harnesses the profound depth of the company's culture and the powerful capabilities of the N1N platform to mentor and motivate. He articulates his mission: "I am dedicated to transmitting the 'Chambroad Essence', ensuring that the company's presence and reputation reach more students. My aim is to enable them to directly engage with and understand the advanced technologies driving the modern chemical industry."Wang Bing’s team mentors in accordance with the students’ aptitude, and has been widely acclaimed by more than 500 students.

Wang Bing, deeply embedded in Chambroad for 19 years, has absorbed the "nourishing strength" of this "fertile soil", growing through challenges and changes. As Chambroad blossomed, he witnessed its flourishing progress. "As a traveler, I march forward with bravery; as a striver, I pursue excellence; as a grassroots manager, I bask in the light of generosity, unleashing tremendous power." Wang Bing's journey at Chambroad illuminates the path of struggle and innovation.
