Calcined coke is a product made from petroleum coke as raw material by removing the humidity and volatile components of petroleum coke at a high temperature of 1300℃ in a calcining furnace and optimizing petroleum coke structure. The chemical formula is (NH₄)₂SO₄, and the nitrogen content is about 21%. It is an excellent raw material for nitrogen fertilizer, and also the earliest nitrogen fertilizer produced and used in China. The industrial ammonium sulfate is white or yellowish crystals, whose physical properties are relatively stable.
