Established in 2019, Chambroad Technology Award aims to recognize and reward scientific and technical professionals for their exceptional contributions in chemistry, chemical engineering and materials. The award also aspires to unite research resources, promote technological advancements and facilitate industrial transformation. It is a national industry science and technology award initiated by Charity and Filial Piety Commercial Foundation of LeAn Shandong, funded by Shandong Chambroad Holding Group Co., Ltd., and jointly organized by Charity and Filial Piety Commercial Foundation of LeAn Shandong and Chinese Chemical Society.
In its five-year trajectory, the award has notably spanned 94.59% of the institutions under Project 985 and 83.95% of those under Project 211. This initiative has attracted the participation of over 100 esteemed academicians, inclusive of luminaries like Yao Jiannian and Guo Dongming, along with more than 1,000 leaders from various university and faculty tiers who engage in activities such as organizing, nominating, and selecting award recipients. To date, the award has honored 421 awardees, emblematic of which are Academician Liu Zhongmin and Academician Liu Zhongfan.
